Description
Project PLAY and learning is a great way to develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, problem solving, questioning, vocabulary, language development, connectedness and more with your little learners in your home.
Use this Project PLAY Pack to set up fun mini Investigative projects focusing on Farming to work on together over an extended period of time.
In order to get you started as easily as possible, I have created a collection of ideas with step by step instructions and resources ready to use in your projects All you need to do is print and collect the suggested resources (with many of them already likely to be found in your home).
LET’S GET INVESTIGATING!!
Take on the role of an investigator and discover the world of Dramatic PLAY from building an insect lab, to playing in a sensory play tray, to an artist creating a caterpillar and snail artwork, to a scientist learning the science behind oobleck, to a designer decorating biscuits, to brewing up a nature soup concoction from the garden . This pack is part of a growing bundle of Project Packs. I created this resource for the members of the Project PLAY membership as a tool to support them with daily PLAY in their homes.
In this resource you will find:
- 1 x Dramatic PLAY Idea
- 1 x Sensory PLAY Idea
- 1 x Craft Idea
- 1 x Art Idea
- 1 x Science Idea
- 1 x PLAYdate Idea
- 1 x Cooking Idea
- 1 x Natural PLAY Idea
- A series of printable resources from walls that teach displays (word wall) to table learning resources to create a dramatic PLAY farmhouse (desk cards).
- A weekly PLAY Planner to plan out the week using these resources.
Our PLAY ideas in this pack are nothing new, they are simple, quick and easy play ideas to boost Science concepts, explore imaginative play (when set up as a dramatic PLAY centre), improve fine motor skills and help with nurturing the flow of PLAY (by having a project to investigate over time).
I hope this resource is helpful when boosting daily play and nurturing the flow of PLAY in your home.
